More in detail: I go to finder, choose 'go'->'connect to server', I enter 'smb://mypcname-PC'. It then seems to connect and asks me for a username and password. I enter that information and get a message 'you entered an invalid username or password'.
Joined: October 30, 2017. Location: Ukraine. Posted December 29, 2017. I've noticed that one of recently installed PC have an alert "Virus signature database is out of date". When I tried to update it manually it said "Invalid username/password", but I don't have any passwords, only license managed by ERA.
I got it resolved. I just needed to pass domain with the username to the script. I prefixed domain name i.e. in this case \"UserName\": \"sitecore\\admin\" for the user and it worked. The problem was that double-clicking the token to select it somehow selected a space to its left as well, resulting in me copying an invalid code. Carefully click-dragging from one end of the token to the other worked.

put in the password: thepassword. it states it updates successfully . passwd: all authenication tokens updated successfully. I then can . su - theUser and Im now this user..I try . su - theUser it asks me for the password,I put in the one I just assigned to it and it fails with. su: incorrect password
